History of UK Housing Market

I answered a readers question on the Housing Market in the 1990s and 2000s at a blog I update more regularly.

I had a look at the housing market crash of 1992 and whether it bears any similarities to the present moment.

I mentioned one very important factor which is the difference in inflation and interest rates. This alone, I feel, is sufficient to avoid a housing market crash that many people are predicting.

However, ideally, I would have looked into house price / earnings ratios and also the issue of mortgage lending in the light of the global credit crisis.
